Kitesurfing in Mauritius

Kitesurfing, an experience not to be missed

Renowned for its pristine beaches and blue waters, Mauritius has become a destination of choice for kitesurfing beginners and professionals alike in recent years, thanks in particular to the prestigious international competitions held on the island. Magnificent waves, remarkable wind, untamed nature, we’ve got it all…

For kitesurfers, the Morne peninsula is a spot that needs no introduction. Ranked among the best in the world, the legendary One-eye is a fast, hollow, powerful and long wave. Off the southwest coast, along the towering Morne Brabant, this world-class surf spot is an experience not to be missed. The best time of the year to catch waves and surf the One-eye is winter, in May to be precise. From June to September, it’s windy season. Water temperature fluctuates between 22ºC and 26ºC, with a maximum tidal range of 1.2 meters. The One-Eye wave is reserved for professional kitesurfers, but we have the ideal spots, Pointe d’Esny, Anse la Raie and Belle Mare among others. Whether you’re a beginner or an expert, you can take advantage of exclusive one-to-one introductory sessions with a private coach.
